Finding a great backdrop for the 'Winter Solstice' video was key to a successful shoot - after shooting various sequences freezing our nuts off in the snow and ice, we stumbled upon this 18th century barn in a Flamstead farmer's field - We dressed it up with any old vintage nick nacks that would suit a Steam Punk styling - We even found the old french sofa stuck in a nearby hedge - Bingo! fun was to be had by all involved! We couldn't find a mine shaft anywhere in the eastern counties for the production of the 'Pull on The Rope' video - so I made one!
We thought the little out take excerpt to the left was interesting and proved that we just followed our own noses throughout most of the 'Pull on The Rope' video shoot. CF

'From a Lullaby Kiss' - Julie Felix - all the recording was done in three long sessions at Foskett's Folk Factory - the first thing that went down was the initial programming, this was to establish the length of the arrangement and dynamics of the song, encompassing a two and a half minute introduction to set up the atmosphere of the film. The second session was all about Julie's vocal - after agreeing upon the overall length of both the film and radio edit versions we got Peter Knight in to cover all his violin parts. The audio processing took some time - but it always does.
Filming started as soon as the radio mix was mastered - most of the interior footage was filmed in Julie's home, and then outside in her garden - the foot bridge, fields and river shots were filmed nearby on Hertfordshire farmland. CF
Working on the chord structure - music room.
Checking that Julie's guitar wouldn't melt too quickly so close to the flames.
Introduction shots were filmed in the dining room amidst a massive collection of old family photographs from Mexico, books, artworks and wall hangings from a lifetime of world travels.
